Project management

A pro-active approach to project management is a key component of Visual Solutions’ application development success.

First, project planning is conducted to identify the project requirements.An itemization of specific work tasks necessary to meet the requirements is produced. Once the scope of work is defined, a project budget can be produced. A project schedule factoring each requirement’s priority and respective dependencies is produced. Tasks are assigned to development resources based on capability and availability.

During the development lifecycle, project monitoring and control is performed to keep the stakeholders informed of project progress. If the project deviates from the schedule, action is taken to identify and resolve issues. Status meetings are conducted internally with the development team. Status meetings with customers may be formal, face to face meetings or more typically and more frequently phone conversations or e-mail correspondence.

A traceability matrix is prepared and consulted to ensure specified requirements are developed. Test plans are designed, developed, and executed to assure quality results for developed application functionality.
